3 was definitely the best, but I enjoyed all of them. The original was quite revolutionary for the time, and is still challenging today. But 3 stands up as one of the best Mario games ever mentioned.

I never actually owned an NES, but I have all 3 of these via Super Mario All-Stars.

I never owned an SNES either, but later on www.emuparadise.org/ became a good friend with the ROMs and Emulators. :) If any of you are interested, I use the Project 64 emulator. :D

Yes Project 64 is awesome..

I still play it on emu's but used to have the consoles themselves.
